Bizzy

This is a sheep's brain that we dissected. RIP sheep and thanks
Hi people how was your week?
As some might know this was the first week back after a two week break for UTS. And we got smashed! Two exams, one presentation and a brain dissection. Not to mention, which I am, a talk on TCM and IVF treatment, the improvisation class I participate in and doing my job. I think I need a brain dissection.

Your top guide to libraries in Sydney

The View from Double Bay Library Studying in Double Bay Library

Sydney University study desks.
Double Bay library closes at 8 pm-Sad that I know!

No matter how interesting a single book can be, a whole bunch in one place is usually boring-that is unless you need that sense of quiet to propel you through something you have to know. Here’s my list of top libraries in Sydney, starting with fav first-WOW!

Double Bay Library
A hidden gem, quiet, small, nice, 45 degree desks. Used to be an old harbourside mansion that somehow became a library-all with a view across to Seven Shillings Beach and close to where I live. Only problems-mainly an ancient clientele and definitely some mad types go there so a bit smelly.

Sydney University Library
Rows of desks and correct temperature for air conditioning-a must! Also as I am not a member there or even at Sydney Uni. I feel like I’m breaking all the laws-they don’t have a swipe for entrance so its public, in my estimation anyway! The other great thing is: it opens at 8.30 in the morning and I’ve been there then-I know this is sad…

Circular Quay Library.
Yes you can see the harbour bridge from the grandish reading room! This place is ok, but I just prefer the first two because this place has heaps of distractions at Circular Quay.

King Cross Library
This one is fairly new. Perfect if you like your library with vice, porn, drugs and hookers! The seedy feel of the cross seeps into this modern establishment unfortunately for me. The biggest problem are that the desks are too low though.

UTS Library
Basically all my books are here-but the air con is bloody freezing in this place and even though I go to UTS I can’t stand being frozen. That’s why Sydney Uni wins. Ta Dah!!!

5th Week: pic updates

This is the pateints (me) point of view prior to needling.
Didn't realise I'd get both done!! Had SI 19 needled too. Hopefully you can't see up my nose too badly.

Removal of needles-good work Sophie :)

Acupunture practice continues!

Bladder one (inner canthus of the eye) didn't hurt , but there was a bit of anticipation before it was done..! Even though its a tender point it wasn't that much of a big deal. Anyway doesn't get used that much in clinical practice. I think its even more nerve wracking putting the needles in as you don't want to hit the eyeball...

More pic updates, 4th week

Classic snooze break, identity has been withheld...
Spontaneous Qi Gong moment during a pharmacology practical class
Acupuncture in the real world during a long lecture. Governor 20 gets a work out-direct link to the brain, reinforces ascending qi, revival point ( Rogers 2003, p193). Needle seen in place during lunch as well...

60 (!) pills twice a day. Even though the pills are small this is funny!!

In Brief: Got the most hits in one day last week-thanks ! Been practicing points in class-had Gall Bladder 30 needled (buttock) and not as bad as I was dreading. Monday afternoons we swap massages in Clinic manual therapies class, love that! New Chinese Medicine Society at Uni called the Tai Yi Society.
